We love you and always will be here
It's up to you to determine how near
When you are ready to come back
Please know our boundaries will not lack
With honesty our trust has to be earned
And responsibility has to be learned
All we truly want is for you to be happy and healthy
When we are being a family my soul feels wealthy
This is what I wrote to our most recent son after he has brought chaos and destruction into our home the last month. His trauma caught up to him and he took it out on directly on us, unable to handle consequences of his choices.
We thought we had a good foundation and had built a relationship but sometimes there is much more going on under the surface we only see the top of the iceberg. Felix took part in some very troubling behaviors and decided it was easier to escape by running than be held accountable. We are very pleased to share he is in a treatment center that can offer him the healing he needs but we do not know if he will be returning. We are leaving that choice up to him.
We sure miss him but are trying to see the positives of him getting what he needs and us getting a bit of freedom and recovery.
Dylan meanwhile is trying another chapter. He moved and found himself a job and apartment. We truly hope he can learn how to do the adulting and start finding his path.
